FAVOURITE POST

I love this. I love how it not only mentions how society decides what is and isn’t beautiful, it also says  that it distorts our own image of ourselves. We see ourselves as “ugly” because we don’t look like the girls in the magazines but we forget that not even the girls in the magazines look like that in real life. We are human. It’s okay to have scars, pimples, freckles, etc. They do not make you any less attractive. You are perfect exactly the way you are and let NO ONE tell you otherwise.

yourwaywithwordsisthorugh92 asked Hai can you tell me what a self harm jar is...?

A self harm jar is a really cute idea someone made up. You basically take a random jar and make it look all cute(or not) and you post a picture of it on tumblr. Then people reblog it. For every reblog/like you get, you have to stay a day clean. Also, you have to write down the URLs of the people who reblogged/liked your photo and put them in the self harm jar. For each clean day, take a random URL out of the jar and thank that person! :)

So this is my self harm jar. It’s a bit different from other people’s. Since I’ve recovered & don’t really self harm anymore, I’m using it for something else. I want you to reblog this post if you cut/burn/drink etc.. This is YOUR self harm jar. For every reblog/like, I will put your url into this jar. Every day, I will take one URL out, take a picture of it & post it on my blog. Also, I will message you and tell you how proud I am of you and how much I love and support you.

I love the idea of the traditional self harm jars btw. I think everyone should make one! It’s super easy. This was a nutella jar I coloured with a silver paint marker and wrapped a bow around. I’m sure you’ve got jars around the house! Make it look super cute and keep it somewhere you’re sure to see it everyday. Take a picture of it and post it. For each reblog/like you get, you HAVE to stay another day clean and write the person’s URL on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. And for each clean day, you take a random URL out and message that person, thanking them :) Try it! I’d love to see your self harm jars so tag me in them with the hashtag #beokaycampaign ! Love you all <3 Get reblogging!

I love you, even when you don't love yourself

Hey, are you feeling down and like you don’t matter? I understand that life can be really hard sometimes and that you might feel small and helpless because of it but I hope you know that you matter to me, ok? I might not know you but I still value you.

If you need someone to talk to, always…

  • it’s okay for you to like skinny girls
  • it’s okay for you to like skinny girls with big boobs and a butt
  • it’s okay for you to like curvy girls
  • it’s okay for you to like heavier girls
  • it’s totally okay to like thighs or thigh gaps and big boobs or small boobs and big butts or little butts
  • what’s not okay is telling a woman that she isn’t beautiful or sexy because she doesn’t meet your personal body type preferences

 Everyone needs to reblog this.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. No body said it’d be easy, they just promised it’d be worth it.

You're worth something.

Lately I’ve been seeing so much stuff about self harm. I never really thought twice about it until I noticed that an extremely close friend of mine was taking part in it. It’s saddens me to think that i never really cared or gave it much thought until someone close to me started going through it….
